Now a bit about me: I have been painting for over fifteen years. My medium of choice is watercolor/water based mixed media on paper. I enjoy the challenge of creating most of my painting with just 2 to 3 colors. Following the traditional method of watercolor painting, I go from light to dark tones. In my current mixed media works, I use transparent textures like wax to preserve the underlying light color and apply dark colors over the resist to creates a certain degree of luminosity and contrast.
So far I have painted and exhibited four major themes:
Still lifes
Floral compositions
Domes & designs series
Mixed media abstractions
I have also been commissioned by private parties for special projects. In 1994, I completed a two-year Fine Arts Certificate program from Fun Kadha Art Institute (Karachi). After completing this certificate program, I got my first major exhibition in a prestigious art gallery in Karachi. Since then, I have been painting and exhibiting on a regular basis and have sold over 150 works. I plan to continue expanding my knowledge and improving my skill in this field, and hope to exhibit my works in various parts of the world and in front of as many interested people as possible

- Award winner in a painting competition held on a city wide basis in Karachi
- Contracted to paint for Sara Textile Mill, a well know garments factory in Karachi
- Paintings selected as "exclusive design" for greeting cards in 1998 &1999 for the Aga Khan Hospital. Sale proceeds went towards charity.
